About Magazine3
Magazine3 is a free website for people who need a name. We build name tools and write plain guides to go with them. You can blend two names, shape a brand name, build a clan tag or find a blog name.
Why we built it
Name tools are easy to find. Good ones are not. Many glue two words together and hand you a pile of strange results. We wanted tools that split names at natural breaks, try both orders and drop awkward results. We also wanted guides that tell you what to check before you commit to a name.
What the tools do and what they do not do
Our tools give ideas. They do not check trademarks, domains, game name rules or meanings in other languages. Every guide on this site tells you how to run those checks yourself. We would rather say so plainly than let you believe a generated name is safe to use.
- The tools run in your browser. We do not receive what you type.
- Each click gives a new set of ideas, so you can keep exploring.
- We do not ask you to sign up.
How we write our guides
We write short sentences in plain language. We try to put the answer first, then explain it. When a fact matters, such as a character limit or a fee, we say that it can change and tell you to confirm it at the official source. When we give an opinion, we label it with words like "I think." You can read the full standards in our editorial policy.
Who is behind the site
Magazine3 is published by the Magazine3 Editorial Team. We do not claim awards, partners or credentials that we do not hold. We are a small publisher, and our guides are general information, not legal or professional advice. If you need advice on trademarks or business law, talk to a qualified professional.
Found a mistake
Tell us. Use the contact page and include the page address and what looks wrong. We will check it, fix it and update the date on the page. Honest corrections make a site more useful, so we welcome them.
How the tools are built
Our tools use fixed rules, not guesswork. Each one splits your words at natural breaks, such as where a vowel meets a consonant. It then rebuilds names from the pieces, removes results that are too long or too short, and shuffles what is left. Because the rules run in your browser, results appear instantly and nothing is sent to us.
We keep the rules simple on purpose. A simple rule is easy to test, easy to fix and easy to explain. When we spot a pattern that produces weak names, we change the rule and test again.
How we decide what to write
Our guides start with real questions. We look at what people ask when they need a name, such as how long a username should be or what to check before buying a domain. Then we write the answer in the order a person would need it. Each guide links to the tool that helps and to related guides, so you can move from reading to doing.
Who we write for
We write for first-time founders, parents, gamers, bloggers and creators. Most of you are not experts, and you should not need to be. We use short sentences and everyday words. If a term needs explaining, we explain it once, in context.
How we keep pages fresh
Every article shows a published date and an updated date. When a rule, fee or limit changes, we revise the page and change the date. We also review older guides from time to time. If you notice that something is out of date before we do, please tell us.
